Sunday miscellany
Kind of a random evening:
- Beef brisket simmered with carrot, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaf, clove, allspice, fennel, sliced and served with a horseradish-cream sauce
- Oven-roasted potatoes
- Butternut squash diced and cooked with some butter in a pan until soft, then mashed with salt, nutmeg, white pepper, and lime juice.
