Cherries in armagnac

An inspiration for preserving some of the fantastic sweet cherries we have:

800g pitted cherries

200g sugar

1.6dl armagnac

2 cloves

1/4 cinnamon stick

combine everything in a pot, bring to a boil, then transfer to clean glass jars.

These things are excellent.
